The idea behind de-CO (named after an abbreviation of ‘de-carbonise’) is to move towards a future where we rely less on fossil fuels and are more energy efficient in the way that we run our homes. Currently in the UK we use far too much energy in the way that we heat and power where we live and we all need to start making more of an effort to improve on this. As the expression goes it is “death by 1000 cuts” and every person making an effort really does pay off when you look at the bigger picture, as 60 million little differences certainly would make one huge one.
