About... Hamish Blair

Introducing the co-founder of deCO - Hamish Blair.
Hamish's background includes 8 years working at Apple Inc, based in London and the South-West where he was tasked with improving the use of Apple technology and business solutions across small, medium and enterprise companies. It was during these years that he first realised then developed the skills of building multi-platform technology solutions (for example combining Apple, Microsoft and Android devices), and for making these solutions relevant and understandable by the client.
Hamish views the home as the next significant step in the development of lifestyle technology known as the Internet of Things, while also supporting the real and present need to better control our energy usage. He has long harboured the desire to set up his own business, an in meeting William Hazlerigg he realised that they share common ground with their views on the home - that there is a necessity to develop the use of renewable energy sources, that we can better manage our energy usage via technology, and that combining the two is the future for homes and home energy.
He has also run a record label and enjoys pursuits such as skiing, music and playing the bagpipes!
